Fox News has doctored photos of many of its guests, attempting to make the images look distorted and facial features out of sync. One of the victims of Fox News' actions is Dr. Boyce Watkins. He, along with some reporters from The New York Times, found that in some cases, the shapes of the foreheads were changed, the teeth were yellowed, or ears were widened. Also, in the top photo, the eyes were darkened.
Changing the image of a guest in this way can have a strong subconscious and conscious effect on the viewer, who might be inclined to attribute any negative rumor or ideal to the individual in the picture. It is also a powerful violation of journalistic integrity.
